Talk Therapy

Tried and true, the conversations of Talk Therapy undergird our work. 

 

THE COMPREHENSIVE RESOURCE MODEL

This approach combines many treatment models to enable the client to re-process, and release traumatic material from the nervous system. It is the gentlest, most efficient and effective method I’ve seen for moving my clients through anxiety, trauma and depression and enabling them to connect to what is nourishing in the world.

 

TAPPING OR EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE

An Energy Psychology technique, Tapping is based on the principles of Chinese acupuncture. Tapping, also known as the Emotional Freedom Technique, can soothe and resolve anxiety and other difficult emotions when a client taps on points on the body’s acupuncture meridian lines. This method can be used as needed between sessions by the client.

 

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a relatively quick-acting model of treatment that helps a client process and integrate disturbing anxieties and traumas, ranging from major stressors like life-threatening situations, through losses and illnesses to persistent disappointments and embarrassments.

 

Focusing

Attention heals. Focusing is a method of concentrating attention upon a problem like anxiety or depression.
